The National Carriers’ Conference Committee has formally applied to the National Mediation Board for mediation in ongoing national bargaining with the Brotherhood of Railroad Signalmen. This filing, submitted on November 12, 2025, follows the exchange of Section 6 notices between the parties and continued discussions after a tentative agreement was voted down earlier this year.

Mediation under the Railway Labor Act is a standard step in the bargaining process and does not change the BRS’s commitment to securing fair wages, benefits, and working conditions for all Signalmen. Additional updates will be shared as the process advances.
