FRONT ROYAL, Va. — The Brotherhood of Railroad Signalmen (BRS) proudly stands alongside our brothers and sisters in rail labor and encourages Union Pacific Train Dispatchers to exercise their right to choose representation.
The National Mediation Board recently announced that ballots will be mailed to Union Pacific Train Dispatchers on November 17, with voting scheduled to close and ballots tallied on January 12.
The BRS recognizes the importance of this election and the opportunity it presents for Union Pacific Train Dispatchers to have a stronger, collective voice in their workplace. Every railroad employee deserves the opportunity to organize, choose representation, and have a meaningful voice in matters affecting their working conditions, professional interests, and future.
The strength of organized labor lies in solidarity. The right to organize is fundamental to ensuring that railroad workers have a seat at the table and the collective strength to advocate for fair treatment, improved working conditions, and a safer railroad industry.
When railroad workers stand together, our collective voice is stronger. The BRS wishes the Union Pacific Train Dispatchers success throughout this important election process and reaffirms its commitment to supporting the rights of all railroad workers to organize and be represented.
