The Brotherhood of Railroad Signalmen announces the retirement of Secretary-Treasurer Jim Finnegan, whose service to the Brotherhood has been marked by dedication, steady leadership, and a commitment to the members of this Organization.
Following Brother Finnegan’s retirement, interim elections were held on May 8, 2026, to fill the resulting vacancies in accordance with the Constitution.
Brother Brandon Elvey, formerly Vice President NRAB, was elected Secretary-Treasurer. In this role, Brother Elvey will assume the duties and responsibilities of the office and continue the important work of supporting the Brotherhood’s operations and membership.
Brother Justin Pier, formerly Director of Research, was elected Vice President NRAB. In this position, Brother Pier will serve the Organization in matters before the National Railroad Adjustment Board and continue the Brotherhood’s work of protecting the rights of its members through the arbitration process.
The Brotherhood extends its sincere appreciation to Brother Finnegan for his years of service and congratulates Brother Elvey and Brother Pier on their election.
As the Organization moves forward, the Brotherhood remains committed to continuity, strong representation, and the continued advancement of the interests and welfare of its members.
