Join us for Rail Safety Week, Sept. 21-27!
Today is Virtual Operation Clear Track, when hundreds of law enforcement representatives and first responders across the U.S. and Canada are sharing rail safety messages through social media, by email and on their websites. Thanks to Amtrak Police for leading this effort, and to all the first responders who are participating! Read more about Operation Clear Track below.
Watch Federal Railroad Administrator Ronald Batory kick off #RailSafetyWeek with an important message about safety around trains and tracks.
The goal of Rail Safety Week (RSW) is to raise awareness of the need for rail safety education and empower the general public to keep themselves safe near highway-rail grade crossings and railroad rights-of-way. Join us in observing Rail Safety Week this year from Monday, September 21 through Sunday, September 27! This year, Rail Safety Week will be observed in the U.S., Canada and Mexico.
In 2020, due to the coronavirus pandemic, Rail Safety Week activities in states across the U.S. will have an emphasis on social media and virtual safety messaging.
