During the second day of the 54th Regular Convention, Delegates elected the Brotherhood of Railroad Signalmen's Grand Lodge Executive Council to serve the Membership for the next four-year term. Following nominations from Delegates representing properties across the Brotherhood, each Officer was elected by acclamation.
The Officers elected are:
- President — Michael Baldwin
- Secretary-Treasurer — Brandon Elvey
- Vice President Headquarters — Christopher Hand
- Vice President National Railroad Adjustment Board — Justin Pier
- Vice President West — Cory Claypool
- Vice President Commuter/Passenger — Timothy Tarrant
- Vice President East — Doug VanderJagt
- Vice President Midwest — Kurt Mullins
- Grand Board of Trustees, Chair — Michael Sullivan
- Grand Board of Trustees, Secretary — Andy Webb
- Grand Board of Trustees, Member — Aaron Carter
Throughout the nomination process, Delegates recognized each Officer's dedication to the Brotherhood and reflected on the experience, leadership, and commitment they have demonstrated while serving the Membership. The remarks highlighted the many responsibilities entrusted to the Grand Lodge Executive Council, including collective bargaining, arbitration, organizing, legislative advocacy, rail safety, communications, and protecting the interests of railroad Signalmen across North America.
In accepting their elections, each Officer expressed gratitude for the confidence placed in them by the Delegates and acknowledged the support of their families, fellow Officers, General Chairmen, Local Chairmen, Representatives, Staff, and Members. While each address reflected the unique experiences of the individual officer, a common message emerged: a shared commitment to protecting the craft, strengthening the Brotherhood, improving the service provided to the Membership, and preparing the Organization for the opportunities and challenges that lie ahead.
The Brotherhood congratulates the Grand Lodge Executive Council on their election and looks forward to continuing the work of advancing our Organization, protecting our agreements, advocating for rail safety, and serving the Membership throughout the coming term.
