This gives a basic overview of the role the BRS takes when contracts are negotiated. For our brothers and sisters that work under the National Agreement, and before we start negotiations, a survey is sent to all members in order to assess what we want to try to get in the contract. After the data is collected from our members, the list of items we want to negotiate for is put together. From there, we start negotiations with the railroad.
