Beginning August 20, 2024, the Brotherhood of Railroad Signalmen held its annual General Chairmen’s Training at the International Association of Machinist and Aerospace Workers’ (IAM) William W. Winpisinger Education and Technology Center. The week-long training focused on a wide range of topics, including best teaching practices, healthcare insights, railroad retirement benefits, and ongoing legislative and regulatory issues. Alongside IAM instructors and BRS National Officers, the training featured presentations by distinguished guests, including FRA Administrator Amit Bose, RRB Labor Member John Bragg, Transportation Trades Department President Greg Regan, Union Plus Representative Keith Irvin, and members of the BRS Designated Legal Counsel.
David Lehive, Communications Representative for the IAM, put together a video which showcases the quality of training offered at their facility.
